  •   CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst is a rare crested succulent in the Crassulaceae family, prized by collectors worldwide for its extraordinary mutated growth form. Aeoniums are native to the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean region, where they thrive in mild, coastal climates. This variegated aeonium is genuinely hard to find, making it a standout addition to any rare succulent collection.

Instead of a single tidy rosette, CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst produces a dramatic, fan-shaped or brain-like crested crest that sprawls wide and clusters beautifully over time. Leaves display striking variegation in creamy yellow, green, and red-tipped edges that deepen in color with more sun exposure. The undulating, ruffled form of this crested sunburst succulent is entirely unique, and no two plants look exactly alike.

CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst can produce small, star-shaped yellow flowers on mature plants, typically in late winter to spring, and blooming is encouraged by a nighttime temperature drop. Because this is a crested form, flowering is less predictable than in standard varieties, so enjoy the spectacular foliage as the main event. The plant also produces pollen and mild allergens during bloom, worth noting for sensitive households.

CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst is beginner-friendly despite its exotic look, and its wide-spreading habit makes it ideal as a statement piece in containers, patio arrangements, or a sunny windowsill display. It can move outdoors for summer and even stay outside into autumn in mild climates, but always cover it from rain since soggy conditions invite rot. Rotate your plant regularly for even growth, keep it away from AC and heater vents, and note that this is a pet-friendly plant safe for households with cats and dogs.

  •   CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst thrives in bright indirect light to partial sun, with some direct morning sun deepening its red and yellow variegation.

Water CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst every 10-14 days in the growing season, allowing soil to dry out fully between waterings and reducing frequency in summer dormancy.

CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst does best in a well-draining succulent and cactus mix blended with perlite at roughly a 2:1 ratio.

CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst prefers temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C) and should be brought indoors before temps drop below 25°F (-4°C).

CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst is a slow to moderate grower and benefits from a light balanced fertilizer once monthly during its active fall-to-spring growing season.

CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst is hardy in USDA Zones 9-11, tolerating brief dips to around 25°F (-4°C) but preferring frost-free conditions year-round. Gardeners growing CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst outdoors will find it well-suited to California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and Nevada. It also thrives along the mild Oregon and Washington coasts, as well as parts of New Mexico and select microclimates throughout Zone 9 and 10 regions.
  • Q: How often should I water CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst?
A: Water every 10-14 days during the active growing season and reduce watering in summer when CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst enters dormancy. Always let the soil dry completely between waterings.

Q: Is CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst pet friendly?
A: Yes, CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst is pet friendly and is considered non-toxic to cats and dogs, making it a safe choice for pet households.

Q: How much light does CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst need?
A: CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst performs best in bright indirect light to partial sun, with some direct morning sun helping intensify the red and yellow leaf color. Avoid harsh south-facing midday sun, which can scorch the leaves.

Q: How big does CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst get?
A: CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst is a wide spreader, with the crested fan potentially reaching 12-18 inches or more across as the plant matures and clusters. Growth is slow to moderate, so it stays manageable in containers for years.

Q: Can CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst go outside in summer?
A: Yes, CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst can move outdoors for summer and into autumn in mild climates, but always shelter it from heavy rain and bring it back indoors before any frost.

Q: Is CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst rare?
A: Yes, CRESTED Aeonium Sunburst is considered a rare crested succulent, sought after by collectors for its one-of-a-kind fan-shaped crested form and vivid variegated coloring. It is much harder to source than standard Aeonium varieties.

Vader's Second Marvel Series Is Good!
Format: Paperback
This is actually the start of a second Vader series. The first one began, along with the new Marvel main Star Wars series, right after the Death Star was destroyed. That Vader series birthed the new characters of Doctor Aphra, Triple Zero, BeeTee, and Cylo. Now, that series has come to an end. THIS NEW SERIES IS GOOD! It picks up the moment that Anakin Skywalker awakes in his armor at the end of Revenge of the Sith. It chronicles the first steps of Darth Vader. We learn something new about the Sith. They do not create their own lightsabers. They must take a saber from a Jedi and make it their own. The Sith blades are red and only red. Why? Palpatine explains that the kyber crystals that power the sabers are living things within the Force. This is backed up by the Rogue One novel (it was either that or Catalyst). The crystals are rock, but they are also alive. In the hands of a Sith, the new owner uses the Dark Side to push all his pain into the crystal--until the crystal bleeds and turns the color of the beam red. I just think that is all sorts of awesome!

Vader when he still is Anakin
Format: Paperback
This comic picks up right where Episode III left off. Like directly. There's the whole "Noooooooooo" thing and everything. I liked seeing Vader when he is new to being a Sith. It really is Anakin under there still. Throughout the comic, that Anakin begins to fall away. I liked the mix of prequel and original trilogy aesthetic. Seeing Vader alongside clone troopers was very cool. The Grand Inquisitor even makes a cameo! I read the Dark Horse comics that took place right after Order 66 so certain aspects of this comic remind me of those. In this comic, there are jedi who took the Barash Vow prior to the Purge, so they are still out and about in the galaxy. Vader takes this opportunity to take a lightsaber and make it bleed. I really enjoyed this first volume in a new, ongoing comic series. I am absolutely excited for volume two. I give this volume a 5/5.

The Lord Vader Treatment
Format: Kindle
Love this Darth perspective. It potentially fills in some gaps in the timeline in the beginning of his transition. Loved the humor and the art.
