About Aeonium 'Medusa'

Aeonium 'Medusa' is a succulent plant belonging to the Crassulaceae family, known for its striking visual appeal. Its pink leaves are mixed with black stripes, reminiscent of the Greek mythological succubus Medusa. It is a variegated form of Aeonium 'Velour', featuring offset rosettes formed by variegated spoon-shaped leaves, soft-tipped with slightly fringed edges. It has the capacity to reach a height of up to 18 inches (45 cm) and a width of 16 inches (40 cm), readily producing offsets at a young stage to rapidly develop an appealing cluster. Its color changes throughout the year are truly incredible; transitioning from rich "reds" in the height of summer to milky whites in autumn and winter, with shades nearing pink. Flowering has not been observed to date.

How to Care for Aeonium 'Medusa'

Sunlight/Location: It thrives in bright sunlight and prefers dry, cool environments. During spring and autumn, it is best to move it to an outdoor location with good sunlight exposure for optimal growth.

Soil: While most succulents perform well in potting mixes specifically formulated for succulents, sandy loam or regular potting mixes amended with perlite are more suitable as Aeonium 'Medusa' requires more moisture.

Watering: It requires more water compared to most succulents but overwatering can lead to root rot. Water thoroughly during spring and autumn, Subsequently, permit the soil to desiccate before resuming watering. Water sparingly during winter. The plant does not need watering during its summer dormancy period unless in drought conditions.

Propagation: Aeonium 'Medusa' propagates easily from cuttings, with spring being the optimal time for propagation. Allow the cuttings to dry for a few days before placing them into soil.

Temperature: The suitable temperature range for Aeonium 'Medusa' growth is between 50F-86F. Generally, hibernation is carried out in summer. It is best to move indoors when the temperature is high in summer. Pay attention to keeping warm in winter.

Not the best, but not the worst either
Format: Hardcover
By any means not the funniest book in the series, only the one on Krusty the Clown was more un-funny; but still a worthy addition to your collection and, just like all the others from the series providing a retrospective of anecdotes you might have forgotten.

Not that great
Huge "The Simpsons" fan. I watched all the episodes and read a lot of the comics and enjoy most. This one however was quite boring. Turns out I'm just not a big fan of Chief Wiggum. I really enjoyed The "Homer" and "Bart" book. But not this one. Maybe if you love Wiggum you'll love it. If you're not too fond of him then I wouldn't buy it.

Good for my collection.
Format: Hardcover
This was another quick and entertaining read. This instalment wasn't as enjoyable as some of the other books but it was still good. I'm glad to have it in my collection.
