  • Native to central and south America, Pachira Stump Money Tree, or Pachira aquatica, is a part of the Malvaceae family. In its natural habitat, this tropical evergreen tree can grow up to 65 feet. Money Tree's long thin five-lobed leaves form an umbrella shape above its trunk. Braided money trees are actually multiple plants that have had their trunks woven together during growth while they're flexible.

This listing is for a braided money tree (Multiple Pachira Stump with their trunks woven together)

The most interesting thing about Money Tree plant is that, unlike most tropical houseplants, it doesn't require a lot of water. It stores water in its chunky trunk.

In Chinese Feng Shui, Money Tree is a symbol of luck and prosperity, as good fortune is believed to be trapped within this plant's trunk, and the number five in its five-lobed leaves is also a lucky number. It is also useful in purifying your indoor air!

Money Stump Tree isn't likely to bloom indoors, but a matured Pachira aquatica growing in an ideal outdoor condition can produce yellow flowers and edible nuts.

  • Money Tree likes bright, indirect sunlight, as harsh direct sunlight may scorch its leaves. It needs 4-6 hours of light daily, and too little light would stunt its growth. This plant tolerates fluorescent light, so it makes for a perfect office plant.

This plant needs less water than an average houseplant, as it can store water in its trunk.Water only when the top 2'' of the soil is dry and drain well after each watering to avoid root rot. Water thoroughly and let the soil dry out between waterings.

This plant prefers well-draining soils. Use a peat moss-based potting mix and add some perlite for a good drainage.

Money Tree thrives in temperatures between 65°F-80°F. Like most houseplants, it needs a humidity level of at least 50% all year round. Use a humidifier and mist your plant when the weather is dry, especially during winter.

This plant should be fertilized once per month during the growing season (spring/summer) with diluted houseplant fertilizer.

This plant is mildly toxic so keep it out of reach of curious children and pets.

Great Reference
Format: Paperback
This is an excellent, concise book with easy-to-read excerpts and diagrams that we are keeping as a reference guide for our Search and Rescue Team, some of whom are Wilderness First Responders but sometimes need additional information.

A must-read for OBE enthusiasts
Format: Paperback
Projection of the Astral Body I recently read The Projection of the Astral Body by Sylvan Muldoon and Hereward Carrington, and it’s a captivating classic! Published in 1929, Muldoon’s firsthand accounts of out-of-body experiences (OBEs) are vivid and pragmatic, detailing his involuntary projections from age 12 and experiments thereafter. His explanations of the astral cord, travel sensations, and the hypnagogic state are clear, avoiding excessive mysticism. Carrington’s scientific editing adds credibility. My only critique: the dated language can be dense, and the small font in some editions strains the eyes. A must-read for OBE enthusiasts

Basic Fundamentals of Astral Projection
Format: Paperback
This book is full of great information about Astral Projection that is presented in a straightforward manner. I have read many books and articles about this subject over the past 10 years. Many are full of scraps of insight that are glued together with abundant amounts of repetition and babble. Mr. Sylvan Muldoon, like many of the great occultists from the early 20th century, has created a work that will refresh the weary, "would-be" traveler by keeping his explanations short and concise. His theory on the astral body being ruled by the subconscious conveys why auto-suggestion is extremely important when attempting separation. He provides the traditional method of maintaining the hypnagogic state via the raised forearm of which Robert Monroe echoes in his own exercises 40 years later. His "Dream True" method is unique to any of the techniques that I have read about in the past. I cannot recommend this book enough for anyone who is attempting the art of Astral Projection.
