Oxyfluorfen is a PPO-inhibitor herbicide (HRAC Group 14) that blocks the protoporphyrinogen oxidase enzyme in germinating weeds. In sunlight, this triggers rapid membrane peroxidation weed seedlings desiccate and die within 24–72 hours of emergence.
