Philodendron Burle-Marx 'Albo Variegata' is a rare and desirable variety of the popular Philodendron burle-marx It is particularly appreciated for its spectacular leaves with beautiful white-yellow variegation and its tropical appearance.
Care: Well-drained soil, preferably a mix for aroid plants with bark, perlite and sphagnum moss such as our peat-free aroid soil . Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some shade. Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings.
Botanical Description
Scientific Name: Philodendron Burle Marx 'Albo Variegata'
Origin: The rainforests of Colombia to Ecuador and N. Brazil
Threat of extinction: Not threatened ( Philodendron Burle Marx)
Leaves: Heart-shaped to oblong with a varied white and green marbling. The variegation can be uneven with large white spots that vary in intensity from leaf to leaf. The leaves are glossy, dark green and can be up to 30-40 cm long and 20-25 cm wide.
Habit: Climbing or trailing, with long, strong stems. The roots are epiphytic, which means they naturally grow on other plants without parasitizing them. We recommend letting it climb a plant support.
Propagation: Cuttings from stems are most common. Cuttings should have a node. Can be rooted in water or sphagnum moss .
