Parlor Palm & Pothos Kokedama

Two plants, one living sculpture. This kokedama pairs the upright form of a Parlor Palm with the trailing cascade of Golden Pothos—a composition that moves the eye upward and then gently down again. Wrapped in moss and bound by hand, it's a self-contained arrangement that brings the texture of the forest floor indoors.

The Parlor Palm (Chamaedorea elegans) is native to the rainforests of Southern Mexico and Guatemala, where it grows slowly beneath the canopy in dappled light. Its feathered fronds fan upward in a graceful arc, offering architectural structure and natural air-purifying properties. Beside it, the Golden Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) spills outward with heart-shaped leaves brushed in golden-yellow variegation—a trailing vine known for its resilience and ability to thrive in low light.

A Pairing That Works Hard

Together, these two plants create a living arrangement with both vertical presence and flowing movement. The palm anchors, the pothos softens, and the moss-wrapped base holds them both. Display as a focal point on a shelf or sideboard, a natural accent on a desk or console, or suspend it where the vines can trail freely.

Each kokedama comes with either a Gray Patina Tray or White Patina Tray, and pairs well with our Wrought Iron Planter Stand in Small, Granite Stands and Goblet Terra Cotta Planters, each sold separately.

Note: Parlor Palm is pet-friendly; Golden Pothos is toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Keep out of reach in homes with pets. Plant size and maturity may vary, but it will be ready to grow and thrive in its new home.

IN A NUTSHELL

Tolerates bright, indirect light and slightly shadier indoor spots.
Water every 1½–2 weeks by soaking the moss ball; allow to dry between waterings. Average room temperature (60°F–85°F) and humidity (40–60%) are ideal. Keep away from drafts and vents.

All live plants are non-returnable / non-refundable / not eligible for discounts.

Outstanding Book
Format: Paperback
Great book, a classic that seems more timely now than ever! First read Dr Akbar’s book years ago and bought this updated edition to replace the copy someone borrowed & never returned (another sign of a good book when they don’t get returned). So glad to have this new copy to revisit the deep wisdom and insights Dr Akbar lays out. He explains the painful & persistent psychological & sociological chains of slavery clearly and irrefutably. This book is a must read for anyone who wants to better understand why it’s so hard to heal the terrible wounds of slavery — even today, even generations past physical shackles....

Quick & Informative Read
Format: Paperback
I only called it a “quick read” because when I get warped in a book, I lose track of time. This is one of those books. Quite an easy read. Recently Purchased the other books that were recommended with this one.

Format: Paperback
This book is a game changer in that it takes an in-depth look at the lingering and undeniable effects of slavery on the psyche of today's African Americans. It is thought provoking and thorough and a must read for those seeking to understand the why's of what's happening today in the lives of many African Americans and how it correlates to the savagery of slavery.
