Sedum oreganum

Oregon stonecrop is an evergreen groundcover with attractive, year-round appeal. It's especially striking in summer when clusters of bright yellow flowers burst into bloom atop short, upright stems, beckoning neighborhood bees and butterflies. Depending on growing conditions like sunlight, heat and soil, its compact, succulent leaves can vary in color from green to red.

  • Plant type/canopy layer: evergreen, perennial, herbaceous plant
  • Size at maturity: 3-6" tall, spreads laterally by rhizomes, creating a groundcover
  • Light requirements: full sun, part sun/part shade
  • Moisture requirements: moist to dry soil
  • Bloom time: June - August (July - August in the Portland Metro area)
  • Growth rate/ease: medium growth rate, easy to grow
  • Wildlife support: flowers are a nectar source for adult butterflies, bees and other insect pollinators; overall plant is a caterpillar host plant and larval food source for native butterflies and bees and attracts and supports predatory and other beneficial insects
  • Native habitat/range: commonly grows on rocky outcrops and ledges, gravelly places, and slopes, from sea level to 1500m, across the Pacific Northwest from the coast to the Cascades. Portland Plant List - yes.
  • Special features & uses: evergreen; groundcover; landscape uses include pollinator gardens, green roofs, rock gardens, rock walls and potted arrangements

Gardening with Oregon Stonecrop: This is an excellent choice for partial to full sun rock and pollinator gardens with moist to dry, well-drained soil. It is relatively easy to grow, spreading laterally to colonize areas over time. If you hope to achieve this consistent groundcover effect, a good strategy is to buy enough so you can space them every foot or so.

Corgi Approved
Size: 12"
These "Giggler" toys are great. Not meant for the dog who likes to really "kill" it's toys as they're mostly just soft fabric. My Corgi pup is pretty gentle so far and she proudly struts around the house with this toy all day long. It's her favorite thing to play with. The rope legs are good for tug-o-war with the Heeler. The squeaker isn't annoying, either. It only makes noise when the toy is moved in a back and forth type motion. The only downside is not being able to choose the one you want. I was lucky...ordered 2 and got the frog and alligator, which are the two I wanted.

My Chuiweenie loves these.
Size: 12", Size: 12"
My aunt bought the original one for one of my other furbabies and she didn’t care much for it. We got a new puppy and this has become her favorite. We have bought a second. She loved the “giggle” sound and goes crazy when she hears it. Only downside is the plush face has a thin material that is easy for them to chew through. Also, with Amazon you may get an alligator instead of a frog lol.

Why
Size: 12"
Why when there are THREE item choices and I ordered FOUR did I get three of one and one of another. Her favorite is the duck. If there aren’t any available, they should NOT be shown

I liked how interested he was in it. It just didn't stand the test of time.

Didn't last
Size: 12"
I bought the chicken, the duck, the frog and a couple hedgehogs of these. They're very cute and my puppy loves them, but goes through them very fast. She chews holes in the body pretty quickly and starts removing the stuffing. I tried sewing the holes, but finally gave up. It's a losing battle.
