It is only recommended to use liquid fertilizers when the growth is slow during the warm months, and this is not normally needed.

Moldy bristles in less than two weeks.
Mold. Less than two weeks of use and mold. Ew.
The wood does not seem like it's properly sealed for a product that is expected to be used with water. I threw them away. Not even worth trying to return as it didn't feel hygienic.
