anthurium fredryk Anthurium clarinervium – The Plant Lady SFEndemic to Chiapas, Mexico, this plant grows well in higher humidity. However, it is actually more tolerant of drier conditions than most of its sister anthuriums, tolerating as low as 35% without complaint. They are known for their thick, velvet leaves that resemble a heart. This Anthurium is slower growing than its cousin Anthurium crystallinum, which may be the reason clarinerviums tend to be a bit harder to find and more expensive. Care: Humidity

 

Care:

Humidity - 60-80% with good air flow. One of the few Anthuriums that can tolerate lower humidity as well.

Water - Let dry completely before watering

Light - Medium to bright indirect

It is worth purchasing a Protection Plan on an unfamiliar item
Bought a 3-year protection plan for a nut milk maker machine for $5.99. It was a fairly new kitchen item in our household and we were not familiar with the brand. So, I bought the plan for a piece (peace) of mind. The machine worked nicely for about 18-20 months with daily use until it tripped the circuit outlet. My initial chat with Asurion did not go as I expected due to discrepancy on their end as they see a protection plan for the nut milk maker as a sporting goods valued between $100-$199, not as a kitchen item valued between $30-$39.99. ( I had bought 3 different protection plan on th same day for multiple items purchased on Prime Days). They were looking at a different plan and I was unable to get them to "scroll over" to the appropriate protection plan. I tried again on a different day during the first hour of their contact hours and had a cheerful Asurion agent who was able to find the appropriate kitchen item protection plan. It was a simple and thorough conversation and transaction. I was refunded within hours after I packed up and dropped off the damaged item out to UPS. Moral of the story: Asurion Protection Plan is worth it and contact them at the start of their first day shift, not at the end of their evening shift.
