How to care for Callisia repens 'Pink Lady'

Sun/Trimming: Like other Callisia succulents, 'Pink Lady' prefers to grow under 54℉ in spring and fall. The thin leaves can tolerate winter freeze as well. Callisia repens 'Pink Lady' enjoys full sunlight to keep lovely pink. The leaves are wilting to dry or turning green, which are signs of under-exposure. Thus you can grow them outdoors with a big planter pot. Regular trimming work is essential for this vine succulent. To promote a whole and outstretched look to decorate your yard or doorsteps, trim the long stems(better the stems with green leaves), insert the cutting in the potting soil, and let them grow with the succulent mother plant, which is the fast way to propagate Callisia repens 'Pink Lady.'

Soil/Location: The well-drained soil mix also works for Callisia repens. Add more soil to grow or propagate young 'Pink Lady.' Gradually add some gritty rocks, green zeolite, and other soil addition rocks to the potting soil after the live succulent gets stable and more robust. People love applying this succulent plant to the grounded cover and outdoor garden decoration for its easy-to-propagate character and beautiful pink color. Using a climbing stick can help it grow upwards, which is also very eye-catching when placed by a sunny window indoors. Watering/Pests: Compared to Echeveria succulents, 'Pink Lady' requires more watering. However, it hates sitting in water for long periods, which can cause many problems, including leaves rot, black flies, and aphids. I Really Wanted to Like This, But...
Format: Audiobook
My 2 star review is entirely due to the audio performance. While the premise and scholarly research in this book is fascinating, the narration is anything but. The narrator speaks, and at times even PERFORMS, every "quote" and "unquote" no matter where they are in the text. In a long (20 hours) book relying heavily on quotations, this narrative choice dramatically detracts from the listener's ability to absorb the material. One wonders why he doesn't say, "period," after every sentence! In addition, he sounds like he's spraying a lot of spit at the mike while speaking. Yes, euw. I listen to 3-8 audiobooks a week, and have done so since the early 1990s, so this isn't my first, or even my first scholarly, audiobook. The better narrators designate quoted text with a shift in vocal tone or slight pause. If you are considering this book, I hope you choose the print version.

Good to excellent content - terrible publishing policy

Lewis (Not "Flewis") wrote a decent text a number of years ago. It was then expanded to a companion volume (Analytical Sedimentology) with another author. The two nicely complement each other but the mind boggles at a price of almost $100 per each. The publisher has clearly made little effort to control the cost. Redundancy between the two volumes is excessive, hard cover rather than soft is used and, indeed, both could easily have been combined in one less pricey volume. A valuable resource to students and professionals has therefore been compromised by publisher, author or both due to ignorance, greed or stupidity. A terrible shame!
