RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE PRACTICES
The highest quality and durability are reached using moderate maintenance levels. Allow turf to establish prior to heavy use. Mowing height at 1 1⁄2 - 2 1⁄2 inches is recommended.
TURF ESTABLISHMENT GUIDELINES
Adequate seedbed preparation is important in new turfgrass establishment as well as in overseeding. Check soil pH and apply LESCO Starter Fertilizer prior to seeding. Cool-season grasses germinate best in the 60°to 85°F (16°to 30°C) soil temperature range. Frequent light irrigation and/or seed starter mulch is required for optimum germination. Germination should be visible within 21 days; complete turf establishment will take six to
eight months to exhibit mature growth characteristics.
AGRONOMIC CHARACTERISTICS
Metro Seed Mix is designed for general turf applications where durability is important. Metro Mix is good for full sun to moderately shaded areas. Metro Mix can tolerate a wide range of soil conditions and maintenance practices. Metro Mix is an excellent lawn mix and will form a dense, fine-textured attractive turf.
SUGGESTED USAGE
Metro Mix is suitable for parks, cemeteries, commercial turf areas and home lawns. Metro Mix can be used for renovation and repair of existing lawns, and is an excellent product for hydroseeding.
