Philodendron lupinum is a fantastic velvet leaf Philodendron species. This particular plant is sometimes confused with Philodendron melanochrysum or Philodendron micans. When this plant is in its juvenile form, the leaves are small and heart shaped. As this plant matures the leaves become elongated with deep lobes and is a true sight to behold.
Philodendron lupinum prefers to climb, so make sure to provide it with a coco pole or other support structure. As it climbs higher, the leaves will grow larger!
Philodendron lupinum care:
This plant prefers a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter. Allow the soil to dry out almost completely before watering, taking care to not allow it to sit in excess water. Provide your new plant with plenty of bright indirect light.
