Anthurium sp. 'Andinum Lattice Crispus' Wild Ecotype | (Actual Plant You'll Receive!)

This Anthurium is not the product of a laboratory or an artificial cross. It is a native species of Peru, a wild plant that grows in the humid cloud forests, in the exact transitional zone where the Amazon rainforest meets the Andes mountain range. This ecological frontier—where humidity condenses on mosses and tree ferns—has shaped its anatomy to be truly one of a kind.

Observing the adaxial side (front), the blade unfurls in a markedly sagittate (arrowhead) shape, with a coriaceous (leathery) yet velvety texture. Its venation system is the true spectacle: a perfectly defined reticulate venation. The primary veins radiate from the base, forming a luminous green lattice. Between them, a secondary reticulum of finer veins creates a hypnotic relief that resembles a topographical map. The leaf margins are crispate (highly wavy), giving it that sculptural appearance.

Flipping the leaf, the abaxial side (underside) reveals a glaucous (pale blue-green) hue, displaying the vein structure with equal clarity.

The best-kept secret lies in the petiole: it has a tetragonal (quadrangular) cross-section, not cylindrical. This angular, robust stem is a distinctive trait that betrays its Andean genetics, adapted to support the leaf without bending in an environment of dense vegetation.

The Anthurium 'Andinum Lattice Crispus' is a native Anthurium, a pure collector's piece with no genetic alterations. Every new leaf it unfurls is a testament to millions of years of evolution in the humid forests of Peru.

A decent read, it wrestles a bit with a couple of different topics of anxiety, racism, family dynamics, sports, and friendship in fits and bursts. I guess my main critique was it felt a bit shallow (no pun intended) with most issues resolved rather quickly and easily once characters put their minds to it. The Hollyhoke's team also seemed to be pretty toxic making it a wonder why someone would want to go there other than that it's wealthy.

I really enjoyed this book of short stories
Format: Paperback
I loved this book. It was the first time I ever read anything by Simone De Beauvoir. It is difficult but I think the title story was my favorite, watching the character go down hill so rapidly and in such detail showing her growing obession was oddly relatable, her self hatred towards her body towards the end of the story I would not try and presume to state what the "moral" of the story was... but that is exactly what I am going to do about now check it.................... I think that the main Character should have developed a concept of self outside her marriage her marriage was her identity and when that fell apart she had nothing...no sense of self it was a compelling read a little uncomfortable but I like being a littel uncomfortable when I read............

Excellent writing, but rather depressing (but perhaps accurate?).
