Prodiamine 65 WG - Pre-Emergent Herbicide (generic Barricade) is a pre-emergent weed control designed to stop weeds in the lawn, such as crabgrass, annual bluegrass (poa annua), bittercress, chickweed, and henbit. This is a dry product you mix in water to make a liquid to apply via backpack/battery sprayer.

Product Description:
Prodiamine 65 WG is a professionally formulated pre-emergent to be mixed in water and sprayed out as a liquid.

Most DIYers use this product in spring to stop crabgrass. Crabgrass is an annual grassy weed that germinates in spring, grows lime green and large during summer, then, towards the later fall, drops seeds. The following spring the process starts all over again. This is why crabgrass is called an “annual” grassy weed. The good news is that it can be stopped very effectively using this product.

The best time to apply Prodiamine is in the spring or fall, as soil temperatures are between 55F to 70F. This will give you approximately 3 months of pre-emergence protection.

Application Information:
DO NOT use Prodiamine if you are seeding or reseeding, as it will keep your seed from germinating.

This product should be applied via a pump sprayer or battery-powered hand can. NOT recommended to be applied via a hose-end sprayer. Always read the label and follow safety equipment recommendations.

We recommend weighing this product on a scale to be accurate, and grams will be the easiest. See the following table for the application rates we recommend. The product must be watered in within 48 hours; the sooner, the better with ½” of water from irrigation or rainfall.

As a hairstylist with a very strong focus on men’s hair for over 20 years, I applaud the guys at Highland for what they are doing. Sure you’ll see some reviews talking about how there isn’t enough hold or it’s not even a medium hold when it says it’s strong hold on the package, but you have to understand, when a product is this clean, strong hold isn’t going to feel like the strong hold in the garbage products most of us have used. This is a strong hold, in terms of keeping your best natural look all day. Something you can work into place, then continuously run your hands through all day and it still looks great. The men’s clay from Davines does a wonderful job at this too, but there’s something about the finish of this product that literally brings out such a healthy natural look. Not shiny either and definitely does not give you a wet look out of the shower. If you see that kind of review, the guy most likely has greasy hair, is using cheap conditioner, or perhaps applied too much. Don’t over use this product in your application, you get the best out it. Amazing work Highland, keep it up!

This is great stuff, great hold without being greasy or turning your hair into spikes. No pungent odors. It's noted that it includes pine and sandalwood oil. There's definitely some pine, not getting any sandalwood. Regardless, it isn't a strong scent and that's how it should be. The tin is almost exactly the size of a snuff can. Expensive.
