Watering: moderate, allow the substrate to dry to a depth of 2-3 inches before watering.
Brightness: medium to indirect. To promote coloring, Philodendron 'Black Cardinal' can be placed in direct morning or late afternoon sun, but never in direct mid-day sun. If the leaves are yellowing, it may mean it is receiving too much sun.
