"Red Campfire" is a common name used for the Crassula capitella 'Campfire' succulent, known for its striking red foliage resembling a campfire.
how to grow and care for Red Campfire (Crassula capitella 'Campfire'):
- Light requirements: Red Campfire thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. It can tolerate some direct sunlight, especially during the morning or evening hours, but intense afternoon sun can scorch the leaves. Place the plant in a location where it can receive 4-6 hours of sunlight per day. If growing indoors, provide bright light near a south or west-facing window.
- Temperature and humidity: Red Campfire prefers average to warm temperatures between 65-85?F (18-29?C). It can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures but should be protected from frost in the surrounding environment . The plant is adapted to low humidity environments and does not require high humidity levels.
- Soil and potting: Red Campfire requires well-draining soil to prevent waterlogged roots. Use a succulent or cactus potting mix, or create your own by combining regular potting soil with perlite or coarse sand. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to allow excess water to escape.
- Watering: Red Campfire has low water requirements. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water the plant thoroughly, ensuring water reaches the roots, and then allow the excess water to drain out completely. During the active growing season (spring and summer), water sparingly, approximately once every two weeks. Reduce watering frequency in the winter months when the plant goes into a period of rest.
- Fertilization: Red Campfire has modest fertilizer requirements. During the active growing season, you can feed it with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer formulated for succulents or cacti. Dilute the fertilizer to half strength and apply it once a month. Avoid fertilizing during the winter dormant period.
- Propagation: Red Campfire can be propagated through stem cuttings or leaf cuttings. For stem cuttings, take a healthy stem cutting and let it dry for a few days until the cut end calluses. Then, plant the cutting in well-draining soil and keep it lightly moist until roots develop. Leaf cuttings can also be taken by gently removing a leaf and allowing it to dry and callus. Plant the leaf in well-draining soil and mist it occasionally until new plantlets emerge.
- Pruning and grooming: Red Campfire generally does not require extensive pruning. However, you can trim back any leggy or overgrown stems to maintain a more compact shape. Pruning can also be done to remove dead or damaged leaves. Gently remove any dust or debris from the leaves using a soft brush or cloth.
- Pests and diseases: Red Campfire is generally resistant to pests and diseases. However, it can occasionally be susceptible to mealybugs or aphids. Regularly inspect the plant for any signs of infestation, such as sticky residue or visible pests. If pests are present, treat them with insecticidal soap or use a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to remove them.

A little longer than the filter the mechanic used last time, and that is a good thing.
At first I was concerned that this filter is about 3/16" longer than whatever one was there before, but it went in perfectly, and I realized I was getting extra filtering ability over the old one. Pleased. Volvo S60 2001.

Almost a Five Star
I have used this brand exclusively on my BMW (110K) and Volvo (90K), with synthetic oil changes at 6000 miles religiously, and neither burns a single drop of oil. I have never seen any "failure" of the filter, which remains firm until the end. Unfortunately the price advantage has been eroding over the years- boo. So lost a star for that-
