Lavender is also a very popular flower for a number of pollinators, drawing in a wide variety of bees, moths, and butterflies, and works great as a nectar source for beekeepers too.
'Hidcote' lavender grows to 12-24" tall and begins blooming in mid-summer, producing bright purple, incredibly fragrant flowers and foliage that can be picked anytime after they begin blooming, and can be dried or used in flower arrangements. Lavender typically requires very little water, and will thrive anywhere with full sun and well-draining soil.
