We climbed dune 45 to watch the sunrise.
The sun rose.
The sand was pretty.
And fun to jump on.
Then we ran down the dune.
Which was fun.
Driving through Namibia was very dusty and dry.
It looks like nothing really lives out here.
But you would be wrong. Can you see the herds.
Okay not so much herds, but here are a few mountain zebra.
Solitaire is a small town in the desert. It does not have an international airport.
It has some kind of burrowing wasp.
Which was busy digging its burrow.
And kicking lots of sand at Matt.
It also had a lot of cactuses.
Which were flowering.
It is well known for its pies. Matt did enjoy the pie. The annoyed look is for Kerri, who is distracting him from pie eating by pointing a camera at him.
Today we went for a romantic walk on the beach.
To watch the sunset.
Because sunsets are always romantic.
Even when the wind is freezing cold and the sun doesn’t really properly set but gets all hazy as it nears the horizon.
