  • Golden Lane

The Golden Lane was next to the palace. Many  people used to live there. Now the tiny houses are set up to recreate the homes of various people from various times in its history.

This is the herbalist’s bedroom from 1562.

    And here is his shop.

This was the seamstress’s home from the 1st Republic.

This is the home of the famous psychic Matylda Prusova. Every day between World War 1 and her death in World War 2 she set her table and got a bed ready for her son, expecting him to come home from the war. He never did. You would think this would be bad for business, but she was very successful as a psychic anyway.

  • Prague Cathedral

The Cathedral is tightly crammed between all of the other buildings at the top of the hill.

    image

It looks bigger from the inside.

I’m not sure why they have a stained glass window of a bearded Superman. But I don’t know anyone else who wears a blue suit and red cape with abs like that.

This is the most peaceful gargoyle we’ve seen so far.

    image

He’s definitely having a better time than this guy.

    image

Their stained glass seemed very crowded.

    image

The plain flowers are much prettier.

    image

These ones are pretty too, but it’s hard to figure out what’s going on.

This one is better because it is pink.

The railings in front of the stained glass showed pizza vines. Yummy.

  • Prague

    Prague was pretty.

    image

The winter weather made it look a little bland, but it was still better than Edmonton.

    image

There were lots of pretty Christmas markets.

    image

    And pretty Christmas trees.

    image

This is the funky astronomical clock.

    image

    Another Christmas tree.

Here’s the slightly foggy city from the top of the hill.

    image

This is the TV Tower. It is advertised as the world’s ugliest building, but I think there are uglier.

    image

The levitating man by the bridge apparently had to leave in a hurry, leaving his solid structural support platforms behind.

    image

This is art. You can tell because it’s big.

    image

Another angle on the foggy city.

    image

You can always tell which part of a bronze statue is good luck to rub because all of the corrosion wears off and it gets nicely polished.

    image

It is kind of a weird looking city.

    image

    But still pretty.
